Legend tells us of a story of the Emperor of Siam who was given two gorgeous vases made by a local potter. So beautiful were they, and quite worried that they would be stolen, the Emperor demanded of his two cats to sit guard and protect them. These cats, having love for the Emperor and understanding his love for these vases, intently stared at these pots for so long, that their eyes became crossed. They, determined to prevent the theft of these vases, curled their tails around the neck of the pots and never moved. To this day, that is why the eyes of the Siamese cat are crossed and his tail curled.

Au, our golden cat, gave Gariné a kiss the first time he saw her and it was love at first sight. He moved in January 2007.
In 2009 we adopted four hens: the queens, Henriette, Miette, Claudette and Lynette. In 2010 we adopted six more hens that were born on September 8: the princesses, Jezebelle, Juliette, Estelle (d.9/8/11), Bibi (d.10/12/12), Mae West (AKA Fatty) (6/11/13) and Paulette (d.6/20/14).
On November 7, 2010 Brooks tried to cross the road in front of Gariné’s vehicle and almost got hit by the other cars in the road. She picked him up in the middle of the road and of course, he came home with her. He was extremely thin and full of fleas and ticks but, you should see him now, he turned 3 years old on May 1st, 2013, and he’s become a big and fluffy boy.
